051006 - At the 950412 PMI monthly meeting in San Francisco, the dinner speaker

051021 - At the 950517 PMI monthly meeting in Plesanton, Bill DeHart, Rod
051022 - Welch, Stan Watson and Ahmet Taspanar discussed Rosanne's request for
051023 - a proposal.  Consideration was given to proposing 2 events because

051027 - On 950524 a meeting was held with Bill DeHart, Cheryl Leff and Rod
051028 - Welch in the Welch office in San Francisco, ref SDS 5 line 58, to
051029 - consider the feasibility of doing two events on communications. Cherly

051033 - On 950601 Bill DeHart and Rod Welch began detailed analysis for
051034 - initiating two events on communications.  During the meeting Ahmet was
051035 - called and he said to plan for 4 events, with the first one in Nov
051036 - 1995, ref SDS 6 line 372.  Ahmet asked Bill and I to join a meeting in
051037 - Oakland on 950608 to launch the Event Program Team.

051039 - On 950608 Bill, Rod, Ahemt and Bob met in Oakland and developed a
051040 - proposal for submission to the PMI Board for a series of coordinated
051041 - events on the theme of Management Communications, ref SDS 7 line 77.
051042 - This group was designated as the Event Program Team with Ahmet as the
051043 - Event Program Manager.

051045 - On 950612 Ahmet submitted the Event Program proposal to the Board, ref
051046 - SDS 8 line 287.  Ahmet requested that Rod Welch and Bill DeHart
051047 - prepare a plan for the Nov event, ref SDS 8 line 309.  Rod Welch
051048 - advised that a predicate to preparing a plan for a Nov event is
051049 - adoption of an Event Program Plan to guide planning for each event,
051050 - including the Nov event.   Rod requested that the Event Program Team
051051 - meet within two weeks to comment and approve the Event Program Plan
051052 - for submission to the Board at the 950712 meeting, ref SDS 8 line 315.

051054 - On 950612 following the PMI Board meeting, a draft plan was submitted
051055 - to Ahmet for an Event Program Plan, ref SDS 8 line 32, and for a Nov
051056 - event.  Ahmet did not receive this submission due to failed delivery

051059 - On 950629 Bill DeHart and Rod Welch met in Antiock and began planning
051060 - for the Event Program, ref SDS 9 line 75, with emphasis on the Nov
051061 - event, ref SDS 9 line 676. Themes, content, speakers, location and
051062 - dates were determined.  Critical issue was assignment of Project
051063 - Managers ref SDS 9 line 474, and a project launch meeting to
051064 - coordinate among the 4 events, ref SDS 9 line 584. The results of this
051065 - meeting were submitted to Ahmet.

051067 - On 950706 Bill, Rod and Ahmet met.  Assignment of Project Managers was
051068 - deferred because consideration was given to coordinating with the PMI
051069 - Professional Development manager since the Event Program Plan included
051070 - 2 one day events and these were considered within the jurisdiction of
051071 - Professional Development, ref SDS 10 line 433. A meeting was scheduled
051072 - to accomplish this coordination.  Ahmet reported he did not receive
051073 - prior planning reports.  These were hand delivered after the meeting.

051075 - On 950711 Ahmet reported via telecon he had reviewed the Event Program
051076 - plans and found the are excellent ideas which he will support, ref SDS

051079 - On 950719 Bill, Linda, Bob, Ahmet and Rod met in Oakland about
051080 - coordinating the Event Program theme with the Monthly Meeting program
051081 - theme.  The theme of transitioning from classical to modern project
051082 - management was voted for recommendation to the Board, ref SDS 15 line
051083 - 139.  There was no consideration of applying the prior two months
051084 - planning to support the new theme.
