0506 - Summary/Objective
0507 -
050701 - Followed up work at ref SDS 12 line 52.
050702 -
050703 - Received computer from Jim. He asked me to coordinate with Jeff if
050704 - there are any problems on connecting it up.

0510 - Analysis
0511 -
051101 - The problem with setting up PG&E's computer is that it does not have
051102 - backup, the monitor is too small, and the keyboard does not have
051103 - function keys on the left side. I will have to install os2. There
051104 - will not be enough room on the disk and at 25 Mhz, it will be too
051105 - slow.
051106 -
051107 - Actually, I think I can work in Windows rather than os2, except we
051108 - will have 120K less RAM than under os2. Since SDS runs in RAM we will
051109 - crash more often under Windows. This can be worked out, but is less
051110 - efficient, same as the smaller monitor.
051111 -
051112 - The advantage may be that there will be better access to the PG&E
051113 - network, including their standard access screen which I do not have
051114 - on my system.

0514 - Discussion with Bill
0515 -
051501 - If PG&E were to assign a slightly larger body of project support, so
051502 - the Welch budget were not born solely by CDWR, then I would just buy
051503 - another machine of an adequate spec. for my home office and we can
051504 - leave this one for the duration of the current assignment.
051505 -
051506 - There is going to be at least a day for me to configure PG&E's
051507 - machine. Jeff will likely have to fuss around.
051508 -
051509 - I asked Bill about developing work for the other half of my time, per
051510 - the discussion with Chris, ref SDS 11 line 160. If that develops, I
051511 - will purchase another computer out of that income, so the machine at
051512 - PG&E's office can stay.
