0605 - Summary/Objective
0606 -
060601 - Followed up work at ref SDS 8 line 66, possibly related to CDWR's
060602 - inquiry and Jivat's E-Mail, ref DRP 1 line 22, received at ref SDS 8
060603 - line 252.
060604 -
060605 -
060606 - Bill gave me a copy of ref DRT 1 line 15, showing initial dialog on
060607 - initial EMF analysis on CDWR project. It indicates this is part of
060608 - GO 131-D considerations.

0609 - Discussion
0610 -
061001 - The document describes and references work on
061002 -
061003 - EMF Field Management Plan & Considerations
061004 -
061005 - ...it transmits documents setting out this work in some detail
061006 - for the three "Arco Pumping Stations"
061007 -
061008 - I appended the attached material to ref DRT 1 line 46, and at ref
061009 - DRT 1 line 74.
061010 -
061011 -
061012 - I asked if this work should be incorporated into the project
061013 - schedule. Bill indicated it should not be incorporated. He said it
061014 - will be performed by PG&E separate from any coordination with CDWR.
061015 -
061016 - The contact for the work is Simon Chiang at PG&E internal number:
061017 -
061018 - 821 5050
061019 -
061020 -
061021 - Bill indicated he and Cynthia and Mike Emery will prepare the EMF
061022 - plan and that it may be completed by the middle of December, oa
061023 - 941215. The document received today indicates the EMF plan for the
061024 - San Luis Obispo "projects" will be complete by the 941130, ref DRT 1
061025 - line 32. Possibly this indicates the project manager than has to do
061026 - certain work after receiving EMF mitigation report, which appears to
061027 - require a "design" and "field visit", and which in turn requires that
061028 - the design of the tie lines be completed.
061029 -
061030 - PG&E's schedule shows engineering on the tie line for SLO will be
061031 - complete 941222 and for Casmalia engineering is shown to complete oa
061032 - 950202. If these are predicates to doing the EMF design, then the
061033 - EMF mitigation report may not be available until that time frame.
061034 -
061035 - Engineering & Cost Impacts
061036 -
061037 - The report seems to indicate that remedial action would cost in
061038 - excess of 4% of the project budget, and so no action is required,
061039 - per ref DRT 1 line 130.
061040 -
061041 - Is this conclusion correct?
061042 -
061043 -
061044 -
061045 - RAS??
061046 -
061047 - It is not clear in the record so far if this is part of the RAS issue
061048 - raised by Jivat yesterday, ref SDS 8 line 252. If so, and CDWR needs
061049 - it to complete the design of its communication system to support the
061050 - Transfer Trip system, then this stuff may be tied together, and it
061051 - appears to impact the schedule.
061052 -
061053 - [Bill responded in an EM at ref SDS 9 line 146.]
061054 -
061055 - Seems not to be an impact because no action is needed when cost
061056 - exceeds 4% of project budget.
