051915 - Jan was kind in taking the time to explain that Computerland is
051916 - focused on selling hardware not software, because the latter is too
051917 - industry specific.  Computerland seeks volume orders from corporate
051918 - clients who "know what they want," rather than selling retail to
051919 - individuals.  I noted that SDS is not industry specific, and yet it is
051920 - the most powerful means available to improve management productivity.
051921 - Customers cannot call Computerland to order SDS because they do not
051922 - know that management can be improved by automation, indeed many
051923 - believe it cannot be done, because they have failed in their attempts
051924 - to do it with existing products.  Therefore, they have to be SHOWN how
051925 - easy it is to accomplish with SDS.  When this occurs, sales of hard-
051926 - ware will go up to service a much larger market.

051928 - Jan pointed out that the T3200SX C requires 2 months to procure, so it
051929 - is not really available for us, in any case.

051931 - Suggested that Jan work with the SDS program I installed, and think
051932 - about the extent to which it might turn out to be the proverbial
051933 - exception to the rule, i.e. it would greatly add to Computerland's
051934 - marketing efforts.  Since SDS helps people think, plan, remember and
051935 - communicate and these are endemic to all economic activity, it is a
051936 - tool that transcends traditional concepts of software applications.
