130913 - years. ref SDS 36 IH6I
130915 - ..
130916 - On 160511, received Hydrofera Blue dressing, however, it was stiff

130927 - On 160513 letter to Lana in Wound Care presents work plan for healing
130928 - and protecting against further injuries in order to continue hiking.
130929 - ref SDS 39 LC38
130931 - ..
130932 - On 160513 letter from Lana in Wound Care explains Hydrofera Blue
130933 - dressing received from Amazon that was stiff like a board, can be

130948 - ..
1310 -
1311 -
1312 - Progress
1313 -
131301 - Problem to solve on Achilles tendon injuries is that lining material
131302 - of Hoka Stinson 3 shoes adheres to wool socks and moves it up and down
131303 - with each step as the shoe rocks up and down. The skin of the leg
131304 - needs to be isolated (i.e., protected) from this rubbing pressure in
131305 - order for current injuries to heal, and to prevent recurrence,
131306 - explained previously analysing Hoka Stinson shoes on 160423 0804.
131307 - ref SDS 30 HH6L
131309 - ..
131310 - This did not occur with Hoka Stinson Lite shoes, because the lining
131311 - material is different, and the heel of the shoe fits looser. The
131312 - tighter fit of the Hoka Stinson 3 shoe is intended to be an
131313 - improvement, so the shoe rocks with the foot. However, even though it
131314 - is tighter and rocks with the foot, there is still slippage. As the
131315 - body perspires the sock gets wet and so sticks to the lining of the
131316 - Stinson 3 shoes. These dynamics cause the sock to move up and down on
131317 - the skin of the Achilles' tendons, and over 11 - 15 mile hikes causes
131318 - injury.
131320 - ..
131321 - The heel lining of the Hoka Stinson Lite shoe is different, so it
131322 - simply slips past the sock rather than adhering. The sock does not
131323 - move up and down, thereby avoiding injury to the leg.
131325 - ..
131326 - Hoka stopped making Stinson Lite and now makes Stinson 3 shoes,
131327 - reported in the record on 150719 0826. ref SDS 7 G18O
131329 - ..
131330 - Background trying various models of Hoka shoes is also reported on
131331 - 160208 1206. ref SDS 27 PPUV
131333 - ..
131334 - There has been some success preventing injuries using either Enluxtra
131335 - or Hydrafera Blue dressings. Challenge is wrapping dressings to stay
131336 - in place over the hikes. Wound Care may help with this and can order
131337 - refill for dressing materials, as listed in the record on 160513 1100.
131338 - ref SDS 38 FG5O
131340 - ..
131341 - Yesterday, Kathy suggested might be possible to use an ankle sleeve or
131342 - ankle brace to prevent shoe heel lining of Hoka Stinson 3 shoes from
131343 - sticking to the wool socks and causing injury.

132106 - ..
132107 - Tried these on at the store. They both extend down near the bottom of

132109 - of Hoka Stinson 3 shoes that has been causing a big hole in Achilles'
132110 - tendons, per above, ref SDS 0 G15O, and which was referred to Wound
