Dear Jack,
Thanks very much for taking the time to visit this afternoon, and later commenting on POIMS. This capability, and the derivative of Communication Metrics, can benefit from expertise displayed in your analysis today, and evident from your paper on TSC. Circumstance has presented a rare opportunity to take a quantum leap from information to knowledge, using unique capability for augmenting human "intelligence," that has not previously occurred, in manner nor degree, for at least 2,000 years. Time will tell whether we can seize the moment, but it is refreshing to have encountered someone with the vision to see, and the skill to take up the charge.
Look forward to hearing from you again. Your idea to widen the circle of discussion on POIMS is great. There is always tension between focus and diversity. In the beginning focus helps build a strong core of support, perhaps 3 - 5 people. This provides the leverage needed to help others see the way. My feeling is to intially form a base of support, get a set of understandings on direction, then open things up for the full community. What do you think?
