Dear Bernie,
Thanks for your letter today. When time permits, it would help to see and interact with an example of your work product in order to understand the parallels you cite between Communication Metrics and Technography. You observe my work product in this letter and related sources, which provide chunks of knowledge space as chronologies of events and reasoning. POIMS explains why I characterize this environment as intelligence. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers report explains how this method supports collaboration that justifies a description of intelligence.
We need a working definition of knowledge and intelligence in order to create Doug's DKR. POIMS offers a framework for thinking about these issues in a way that permits useful technology and work practices to co-evolve, as you noted in your letter yesterday.
I am hopeful constructive alliances will emerge from Doug's Colloquium that can move this capability forward. Your interest seems to support that goal, and I welcome the opportunity to contribute along with you and others.
Sincerely,
Rod
