"Self-criticism can never be perfectly thorough for the last act of criticism is always itself open to criticism. But as long as we remain disposed to self-criticism and to further inquiry, we have in this disposition an assurance that if the truth of any question can ever be got at, we shall eventually get at it...

Hello Rod,

I think when this self-criticism emerges in a feeling that eventually we can make a difference, that's when some contribution begins.

I've taken more time to look at your writing about babble and lost information and enjoyed it a lot. You have nailed several reasons for missing performance measures and opportunities to improve. Even simple structured documentation can help collaboration.

Usable repositories like you have implemented and the grander system we are thinking about with Doug will add tools and techniques for scaling best practices to the specific job.

I said that using XML tech in your system would make you feel like you had been working with one arm tied. I was probly exag a bit, but if we can discuss some detail of processing, storage, or reference problem you would like to improve, let me see if I can make a suggestion. I enjoyed talking with you, but got a little frustrated (somewhat from hunger i bet) .

Thanks and

Best Regards,

Joe
